Even after the game ended, it took awhile for it to sink in: The Packers just lost to the 0-7 Buccaneers. The same Buccaneers who were starting a rookie QB, hadn’t even sniffed a win all year, and generally had the talent of a high school freshman team. If the Packers offensive line could block anyone and Aaron Rodgers didn’t take his sweet time in the pocket, things might have been different. On another note, I was thinking about the article we read in class today, and I think its a good idea, but the owners would never allow it. I really don’t see what problem the players would have, as I don’t see how it creates any more competition than they already have. As far as the NFL goes, there are already multiple other professional football leagues that supplies the NFL with players from time to time (CFL, UFL, AFL). Players in the NFL know that if there are better players available to replace them, that’s exactly what will happen.
